GENERAL QUESTION: LJ Layout Bases

Posted at 09:07 pm
I can't figure out where else to post this and I figured that there would probably be SOMEONE here that knew something! I noticed that there are some new LJ layout bases being used on several communities, but I haven't seen them made available anywhere. The layout base I'm talking about can be seen HERE.

It looks like it's designed to accept widgets/java/etc...

Does anyone know when it will be available, if ever? I love it!

"no subject" in the postings title

Posted at 10:11 pm
If the title of the posting is not written, instead of it automatically pops up the phrase, "no subject". How can I make instead of it to appear a date or just an empty space?
Style system: S2. Theme: minimalism, Georgia.
I will appreciate your help.

problem with .subject:first-letter in css

Layout Style: tried with flexible squares
Basic, Paid or Plus: Plus
Problem you are having: (I made this support request to lj but didn't get any answers) When I use the .subject:first-letter command in css it doesn't work for the subject line of a community sticky entry. Can I change that somehow? For all other subject lines it worked like it was supposed to when I designed the layout.

Adding location/mood/music to layout

Posted at 06:32 pm
Name of journal: indigosquare
Layout Style: Flexible Squares

Problem you are having:

The layout I've chosen doesn't seem to have the option of displaying location/mood/music. I've tried comparing my CSS codes to other codes by the same layout designer that does have showing location/mood/music enabled and tweaking my CSS code, but so far I haven't had any luck. If anyone's willing to look my codes over and let me know what I could add, it would be much appreciated (:

Problem you are having: Hi. I'm having an issue with my entry content. You see my main community page is all dark, but what I wanted was, when I click on a link and taken to the full entry itself is, the layout shouldn't be seen anymore, pretty much like when you're using a basic account. I just wanted to see my entry page look like this with the entry not taking up the whole screen, but having paddings on each right. From this it looks like the entry is at 65%, so that's what I wanted my main entry to look like. Can please anybody help? :(

ISSUE: Profile Code

Posted at 01:20 pm
Name of journal: musesinspire
Layout Style: N/A
Basic, Paid or Plus: Paid
Problem you are having: I'm having a PROFILE issue. The first code is the code with the colors I HAVE been using. The second code is the code with the colors I WANT to use.

Now, my problem is, I'll delete the first code and then copy & paste the second code in. Save. View profile (all throughout the day, I might add) and the ORIGINAL colors are still showing.

WTH?

So I go in and check the profile coding... and it's coded back to the ORIGINAL colors, even though I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was the NEW code I copied, pasted and saved in!

I have tried Chrome, Mozilla and IE and end up with the same result. Is this something in MY coding or do you think this is a LJ issue that I should open a ticket on?

Default User/Comm Icons Bleeding Through Overrides

Posted at 05:24 pm
Name of journal: thecheekydragon and others I maintain
Layout Style: S2 Flexible Squares
Basic, Paid or Plus: Paid
Problem you are having: I have overridden the default user and comm icons in my main journal (and other journals I maintain) using code generated by Malionette but the LJ default user and comm icons are "bleeding through" - showing up on top of the tiny icons overridden in. All of the journals I've used this override code have the same problem. Help?
